i can has glasses? | September 22, 2007

I have been talking about getting new glasses for several months now. I didn’t end up getting the ones in my drawing from March, but I did end up getting the same brand (Vogue, ooh la la).

Vogue glasses

I also got some new contacts for my mild astigmatism and now I can see clearly when I drive. Woohoo, no need to fear for your lives anymore, people! I’m just kidding, there was never a need to worry, I always drove with glasses or contacts on. It’s just that my prescription had changed a tiny bit, enough to annoy me.

So, I opted for the astigmatism contacts even though I didn’t need to. But having good vision is pretty important to me, because you know, I need my eyes to see, to do my art, and TO LIVE!

More photos to come soon, with me actually in the glasses, once I get them back from the eye people.

Hey there! I was a glasses/contact lens girl for years .. and this past May I had the laser eye correction done, so I’m free now! Freeeeee! *cheers*

But I do still love glasses, and those ones are dead gorgeous. Can’t wait to see pics!

I love those. I have bad eyesight and I’m always worrying I’d lose my sight before I’m middle-aged. No photography. No reading. I can’t imagine what I’d do. I’d probably curl up and die.

Too cute! Very funky and artsy :)

I also have an astigmatism in one eye and it’s so frusterating b/c I will never be 20/20. They can’t get it perfect with contacts. I wish I wasn’t too afraid to get laser eye surgery.

I was bummed to find out my prescription had changed recently because it had stabilized for a few years and my previous doctor had told me I could get laser.

I have Vogue glasses too! Mine were pricey because they had to be purchased quickly as I stepped on and broke the pair I had before I bought these, a day before I left to go on a camping trip.
