can you hear me now? | July 2, 2007

An editorial piece for the Performance Edge Journal issue 2, on demystifying VoIP call quality measurements.

I’ve updated this illustration to create more depth by adding detail to the foreground VoIP dogs, and blurring the background into space.

Nice! I love the mixed-media approach. It’s very sophisticated (also love the angles and colors). It kind of reminds me of the way you used to work a couple years ago (Victor and Rolf comes to mind) but I could be wrong. It’s definitely a step forward!

Might have been interesting in seeing the most details in the foreground “pets” and less as it goes back. Add to the sense of depth. Right now it seems like the person has the most focus.

Nice update. Simple and effective. (It was wrong of me, but I loved the detail in the man’s clothing before. I think that’s because I love clothing and red shoes)

Haha, me too. I’d rather draw clothing than robot dogs, that’s why I had spent more time on him than adding to the pups.
